Is previous climbing experience required?

Not necessarily. Thorang Peak is suitable for first-time climbers with good trekking experience. Our guides provide basic climbing training at the base camp, including how to use crampons, harness, ropes, and ice axe.

What gear do I need for Thorang Peak Climbing?

You will need: Mountaineering boots Climbing harness Crampons Ice axe Helmet Warm clothing, down jacket, sleeping bag Note: Most technical gear can be rented in Kathmandu or Pokhara. A full gear checklist will be provided after booking.

What type of accommodation is provided?

We provide: Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and Pokhara Lodge/teahouse accommodation during the trek Tented accommodation at base camp during the climbing period

Is travel insurance mandatory?

Yes, travel insurance with emergency helicopter evacuation coverage is mandatory. It should also cover high-altitude trekking and climbing up to 6,500 meters.

How safe is the climb?

Safety is our top priority. We use experienced certified guides, provide acclimatization days, and carry a first aid kit and emergency equipment. We also monitor your health daily and have evacuation plans in case of emergencies.
