Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m) and transfer to the hotel

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, one of our representatives will greet you and will transfer you to the hotel. Welcome Evening dinner at authentic Nepalese restaurant with cultural performance. Airport pickup by private Car, Van or Bus (According to group size) Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM), Kathmandu, Bagmati, Nepal.

Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and preparation day

Today we are going to visit four of the UNESCO world heritage listed sites in Kathmandu Valley. After breakfast, we start for Kathmandu valley city tour which includes the UNESCO heritage site in the City valley. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred pilgrims’ sites for Hindus all over the world and It is the temple of Lord Shiva, the temple where the dead bodies are criminated on the Bagmati River. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the biggest stupas in Asia and holiest Buddhist Pilgrims and famous tourist destination in City Valley and It is also famous for over 50 Tibetan gompas or monasteries. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the places of the ancient king palace who ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom. Swayambhunath(Monkey Temple) is located in the heart of the City valley and It is another famous tourist destination and holiest Buddhist pilgrims in Kathmandu Valley.

Kathmandu – Jagat (1350 m) First days of trek is traveling by bus about 7-8 hours and night at lodge

We drive from Kathmandu to Jagat. We pass the scenic green hills and views of white glittering mountains will keep you engaged all along the way. On our way, we pay our visit to Bhimeswor Temple in Dolakha. After an hour’s rough road drive, we reach our campsite on the bank of the Tama Kosi River. The trial follows deep into the Bhote Kosi’s valley. We pass a flat river through terrace fields, hamlets and picturesque villages. We walk through a dense rhododendron forest and cross a suspension bridge to Jagat. The views of the Gaurishanker (7145m) on the way through the forest is mind-blowing. We can see the area adorned with prayer flags and chortens though it is a Hindu settlement area. Overnight at tented camp, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Jagat – Simigaon (2100 m) – 5/6 hrs walking

After two and a half hours walk, we leave the valley and continue to the east. The trial makes a steep ascent to Simigaon, a Sherpa and Tamang village. We pass various terrace fields along the village. Tibetan monastery perched above the houses on top of the hill in front of Gaurishanker marks the Buddhist lifestyle of the area. Overnight at tented camp, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Simigaon – Daldung La (3976m )7/8 hrs walking

Descend downhill to a steep trail and go around the edge by climbing the vertical stone steps. Enter the rhododendron forest and walk through the trail to reach the Rolwaling River. Then, climb uphill through the forest along with the view of Mount Gaurishankar (7134m). Ascend uphill till the trail becomes flat and smooth to reach Daldung-La. Overnight at tented camp.

Daldung La – Beding (3700 m) – 7/8hrs walking

The trail walks through lush rhododendron forest with ascents and descents until reaching Nyamare village. Then with a panoramic view of Mount Gaurishankar (7134m), we walk to Bedding, the largest Sherpa village of Rolwaling region. There is a Gompa at the entry of the village and the holy Gaurishankar Temple a little above the village. Overnight at tented camp.

Beding – Na (4180 m) – 3 hrs walking

We take a short walk from Beding along the riverside trial to the village of Na. It is an opportunity to explore the untouched azure glacial lakes which reflects the beautiful mountains in its tranquil water. Na village is situated just below the Tsho Rolpa Glacier Lake in a beautiful valley. The views of the peaks like Chobutse (6685m), Chugimago (6259m) and Yalung Ri (5630m) from here are pretty impressive. We set up a camp at a vantage point near the Sherpa village. Overnight at tented camp, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Na Rest and acclimatization day – Yalung La hike: 4-5 hrs

We take another day for acclimatization. We walk through the icy and slippery trail of Yalung Glacier and later Ramdung Glacier to reach Ramdung Go (5930m), which is an excellent training peak for mountain climbing. An amazing view of Tsho Rolpa Lake and the surrounding glaciers, as well as mountains, can be seen from the top of Ramdung Go. We then hike back to Na Gaon for the overnight stay.

Na – Tsho Rolpa (4530 m) about 4/5 hours walking

After breakfast, we leave Na Gaon and cross the wooden bridge over the Rolwaling River. We move on somewhat steep trail uphill. We trek on the moraines of Rolwaling Glacier to reach the majestic glacial lake. Tsho Rolpa Lake is the biggest and one of the most popular lakes in Nepal that is situated at the altitude of 4540m. The deep blue lake hosts an amazing reflection of the surrounding hills and snowy-peaks as it envelops the vicinity in tranquillity. Overnight at tented camp.

Tsho Rolpa – Khapa la Phedi (4900 m) Drolambau glacier bout 6 hours walking

Although short, distance-wise, the trek will be tough today as we are required to walk through the icy and challenging trail of Trakarding Glacier throughout the day. With a view of several mountains like Rolwaling Kang (6664m), Takargo (6671m), and Jabou Ri (6166m) among others, we climb on a rocky terrain to reach Trakarding. Overnight at tented camp.

Khapa la Phedi –Tashi Laptsa (5755 m) – Ngole Phant (4800 m) 6/7 hours walking

The route to Drolumbau glacier is tricky and fairly steep but our efforts will be rewarded by the spectacular views of Tengi Ragi Tau (6943m), Bigphero-Go Shar (6729m), Dragkar-Go (6793m) with the views of various peaks towards and beyond the Tibetan border in the background. We progress through moraines and gentle slopes, cross glacial areas and head towards the summit. We set up a camps 300m below the summit beyond an impressive rocky section. Overnight at tented camp, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Ngole Phant – Thame (3800 m) – 5 hrs walking

Today’s walk is relatively easy as we make a descend to Thame. We visit a picturesque monastery perched on the hillside just before entering the tiny Sherpa village of Thame. Thame is an important route for all the Tibetan traders and their yak caravans as they trek across the Nangpa La (5716m/18,752) on the Tibetan border to Namche Bazaar and beyond. Overnight at tented camp, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Thame – Manjo (2700m.) 5 hrs walking.

The trail descends slowly to Samde. Get the sights of great peaks of the Khumbu including Mt Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8201m), Taboche (6367m), and other peaks of Khumbu region. Crossing several villages and monasteries, the trail descends to Syangboche before reaching Namche Bazaar. Then, following the trails of Bhote Koshi River, we arrive in the commercial hub of Namche Bazaar. The Sherpa town is vibrant with tourists from all around the world. Overnight in Manjo.

Manjo – Lukla (2810m.) 4 hrs walking.

Leaving behind Namche Bazaar, we trek with Bhote Koshi River and Dudh Koshi River on our every side. Reaching the confluence of these two rivers at Larja Dobhan, we descend to Jorsalle and exit Sagarmatha National Park. Then, we trek alongside Dudh Koshi River as we cross many villages, monasteries, Mani walls, and prayer wheels to arrive in Lukla. Overnight at Lukla.

Lukla – Kathmandu by plane (30min)

We take an early flight from Lukla to Kathmandu (40 minutes) over the spectacular mountain peaks. On arrival, you will be taken to the hotel so that you can rest and freshen up. Later, you can wander around the streets of Kathmandu and do some shopping for your loved ones back home. Feel free to get the taste of local food and lovely ambiance of Kathmandu. Overnight at a 3-star hotel in Kathmandu.

Free day in kathmandu.

In case your flight gets delayed or cancelled from Lukla, you can extend this one day on your trip. The cancellation can be due to bad weather. You can explore the place and try to get along with the locals. You can meet the local people and hear different stories from them. Try their traditional food and enjoy the day along with the amazing surrounding.

Final Departure.
