Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m) and transfer to the hotel

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, one of our representatives will greet you and will transfer you to the hotel. Welcome Evening dinner at authentic Nepalese restaurant with cultural performance. Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing and preparation day

Today we are going to visit four of the UNESCO world heritage listed sites in Kathmandu Valley. After breakfast, we start for Kathmandu valley city tour which includes the UNESCO heritage site in the City valley. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the most sacred pilgrims’ sites for Hindus all over the world and It is the temple of Lord Shiva, the temple where the dead bodies are criminated on the Bagmati River. Boudhanath Stupa is one of the biggest stupas in Asia and holiest Buddhist Pilgrims and famous tourist destination in City Valley and It is also famous for over 50 Tibetan gompas or monasteries. Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the places of the ancient king palace who ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom. Swayambhunath(Monkey Temple) is located in the heart of the City valley and It is another famous tourist destination and holiest Buddhist pilgrims in Kathmandu Valley.

Kathmandu (Tribhuvan Int´l Airport) to Lukla (Tenzinghilliarry Airport) early morning 30 minutes scenic flight then Trek to Phakding (2,612 meter/8570 feet) – 3/4 hours.

Early morning our guide and staff will pick you from your hotel for the short drive to Kathmandu domestic airport, after security formalities board in a small aircraft (Dornier / Twin Otter or similar plane) where scenic flight with views of the Himalayan range of mountains includes Everest, then landing in Lukla at Tenzing-Hillary airport. From here after a short refreshing morning break continue to walk on a gradual easy trail with a down-hill and gradual path with few short ups to reach the first overnight stop in Phakding village, a nice Sherpa village situated above near Dudh-Kosi River.

Trek to NamcheBazzar (3,440 meter/11,287 feet) via SagarmathaNatinal park check post- 6/7 hours.

A slow and easy morning walks towards Sagarmatha National Park entrance gate, with time here crossing the bridge to reach at Jorsalle the last village before Namche Bazaar with a possible lunch stop, an afternoon walk on river bed within the forested area with a climb to last and high bridge that reaches you at famous and colourful Namche Bazaar after walking strenuous uphill on winding trail facing views of peaks. At Namche transfer into the nice and cosy lodge, with time to wander around the shops and streets of interesting Namche Bazaar, the hub and main town or large village of Khumbu area where colourful and busy Saturday market held once a week

Rest at Namche Bazar for acclimatization and excursion around the places.

Rest day in Namche for acclimatization before heading higher areas, where short walks take you up at viewpoint and towards Everest View Hotel of near four hours walks both ways, rewards you with an excellent panorama of mountains with Everest and magnificent Amadablam. At Namche visit the interesting museum with much information of Khumbu Sherpa, culture, flora-fauna as well of mountaineering expedition history with the rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Trek from Lobuche to Gorakshep (5180m) via EBC (5300m) (5-6 hours walk)

Adventure today leads to our goal at Everest base camp, as morning walk follows a flat valley with a slow climb to reach further and then a steep climb to reach a ridge near above Khumbu glacier. As the walk continues over rocky moraines and ice to reach scenic flat areas at Gorak-Shep located at the bottom of Kalapathar and Mt. Pumori on route Everest base camp, at Gorak-Shep with a short break. From Gorakshep heading further east to reach to reach highlight destination at Everest Base Camp with marvellous views of Khumbu Ice-Falls, glaciers looking above peaks of Nuptse, Everest and Lhotse, in high mountaineering season of April to May this grand spot flooded with tents of expeditions. After an exciting time achieving our target walk back to Gorakshep for an overnight stop before heading downhill back to Lukla with a climb of Kalapathar.

Trek to Kala patthar (5545m/18193ft) 2-3 hrs walk and to Pheriche (4280m/14042ft) 5-6 hrs walk

Get ready for another beautiful trekking day in the roof of the world as we trek to the Kala Patthar before making a return to the lower altitudes. Before the day breaks, we shall today get ready with our equipment and go for one of the most beautiful sunrises you will ever see. In a straight trek from Gorakshep to this small brown hill dwarfed by the Himalayas, we shall have the close-up view of the mighty Everest. Ideal for photographers, the sight of the Himalayas including Mt, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse and Changtse Peaks, the majestic Khumbu Glacier and the south-east face of Everest. Reach for the higher point of this black hill and capture as many memories as you can. After this extraordinary scenery, trek down to Gorakshep for lunch before heading down to Pheriche. We shall descent gradually from Gorakshep, in ups and downs and through the rocky terrain before taking an exit from the vicinity of Everest at Dughla and walking straight to Pheriche. Through the damp valley floor covered with moss, from the alpine vegetation to the sub-alpine vegetation this trek is mostly a downhill walk. Stay overnight in Pheriche.

Trek to Namche bazaar (3440m/11287ft) 4-5 hrs walk

The return from the vicinity of Everest continues as we depart from the beautiful Periche to the busy hub of Namche Bazaar. In this mostly downhill trek, we now are with the company of the torrential Dudh Koshi River. Our trek will be rather gradual as we won't want to put much strain on our shaky legs and ankles. In this busy trekking trail, we shall encounter a caravan of fellow trekkers, porters, locals and their pet animals like Yak used for transporting goods; make sure you give way to them. Through the beautiful and dense forests, waterfalls, exciting and sometimes vertiginous suspension bridges festooned with prayer flags, flat and bumpy trails, gompas and monasteries, rural settlements and the culture and traditions practised there are some of the major highlights of this section of the trek. Water driven prayer wheels, viewpoints of the Himalayas, sights of rare wild animals and strenuous stone steps shall take us to the destination of Namche Bazaar. Explore the busy streets of this ancient trade point and the current tourist hub as you take rest for today in this beautiful village. Stay overnight in Namche Bazaar.

Trek to Lukla (2828m/9279ft) 5-6 hrs walk

This section of the trek is the last of such trekking in this adventurous journey that climaxed in the base camp of Everest. Descent on a steep trail out of the Namche Bazaar to descent at the riverbed of the confluence of Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi River and after crossing over the high suspension bridge, we reach to Monjo where we exit the Sagarmatha National Park. Through the beautiful Benkar and past waterfalls, several suspension bridges, unique, busy and interesting villages including the popular ones such as Phakdng, Ghat, Nursing and Chheplung, Mani walls and prayer wheels, we trek up to the hill town of Namche Bazaar. The beautiful and humongous Himalayas overlooking the entire trail acts as the motivation for trekkers; they find the purpose of trekking in the sight of mountains. After reaching Luka, get yourself relaxed and explore the surrounding areas of the hotel, if you are interested. Stay overnight in Lukla.

Fly back to Kathmandu (1350m/4430ft )

Today we shall return to the medieval capital city of Kathmandu after an adventurous stay in the Khumbu (Everest) region. Due to the weather-related disturbances during the day, we shall take on the flight that starts early morning from Lukla. Over the vast landscape, lush hills and valleys, perennial rivers and with the sight of the glittering Himalayas, the flight of around 35 minutes brings us back to the civilization of Kathmandu valley. You shall be transferred to the hotel of your stay for the much-deserved rest after enduring a rather strenuous trek in the Khumbu region. Later in the evening, you may stroll around in the streets of Thamel and the surrounding areas. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
